Privacy Policy

This policy is a draft. It will be reviewed by an expert before the official launch. This English version is a translation of the Japanese draft.

CLT NY Inc. (the “Operator”) handles personal information on “Onegai USA” (the “Service”) as follows.

1. Information we collect

• Registration information: display name, email address, the area you live in, phone number (optional) and password (stored encrypted)
• Helper profiles: photo, introduction, areas served, typical rates, qualifications and experience, and work eligibility confirmation
• The content of requests, offers, messages and reviews
• The results of checking documents submitted for ID and qualification verification
• Payment information: card details are handled directly by our payment provider (Stripe) and are not stored by the Operator. Helpers’ payout account information is also managed by Stripe.
• Access information: IP address, browser type and access times (to prevent fraud and improve the Service)

2. How we use it

• To provide the Service (matching, messages, notifications and payments)
• For ID verification, preventing misuse, keeping people safe and responding to reports
• To answer inquiries and send important notices
• To improve the Service (using aggregated data that does not identify individuals)

3. Information that is public

Your display name, the area you live in, the content of your requests, helper profiles and reviews are shown to other Users and visitors. We do not publish email addresses, phone numbers or street addresses. Street addresses and similar details are shared by Users themselves, by message.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not share personal information with third parties without your consent, except:

• with service providers needed to run the Service (payments: Stripe, email delivery, servers, etc.), to the extent necessary
• when required by law, or when necessary to protect a person’s life, body or property

The Operator does not sell personal information.

5. Retention and deletion

If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except to the extent we must keep it by law or to handle disputes.

6. Your rights

To review, correct or delete your information, please contact us through the contact form. We also respond to rights granted under the laws of the state you live in (such as California’s CCPA).

7. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and for security. We do not track you for advertising purposes.

8. Children’s information

The Service is intended for people 18 and older. When mentioning children’s ages and similar details in a request, please keep it to the minimum necessary.
