Japanese-Speaking Babysitter in Jersey City

A babysitter who plays with and watches your children in Japanese

For families who want their children to spend time in Japanese at home, or who want to keep up the Japanese they learn at hoshuko (Japanese Saturday school), you can find helpers who can spend time with your children in Japanese. Childcare is limited to visits at the requester’s home.

Things to decide before you post

• Your children’s ages and number, the date and the hours
• Meals and snacks, allergies and medical conditions
• House rules (screen time, whether outdoor play is OK, etc.)
• Whether bedtime is included, and how you put your children to bed
• Emergency contacts and your pediatrician

How to choose

Look at the ID-verified badge, reviews, and qualifications such as childcare worker, teacher or CPR. With a new sitter, we recommend a short first visit while a parent is at home, to see how your children get along with them.

Typical rates

In New York and New Jersey, about $25–35 per hour is typical (it varies with the number of children and the time of day).
