House checks in Japanese while you are away for a long time
While you visit Japan or travel for work, you can ask a helper to water plants, bring in mail and packages, and check the windows, heating and plumbing.
Things to decide before you post
- How often to visit (for example, twice a week) and what to do on each visit
- How to hand over the key and how to get into the building (letting the doorman or super know, etc.)
- Where to put packages and mail
- Anything to watch out for, such as the heating temperature in winter
- Whether you would like photo updates
